The Journey Continues...
Life, Marriage And What's Next
Early this year Allison and I got married, moved to a new state, started a new ministry, started new jobs, and started our new life. Wow. It has been a hard and busy year! But God
has been faithful to us each step. He continually provides what we need, with a few surprises along the way! Allison has been working for a catering company delivering food and working the store front. I have been working for a garden center and landscape company, and on the side we picked up a part time cleaning job and we work special events for another catering company. We have been meeting and working with Joshua and Tara Bruce and their family, helping them lay the foundations of what will one day become an amazing Church and gap year program here in Asheville, NC. On top of that and most importantly, Allie and I have been learning about marriage, relationship, love, kindness, patience, grace, humility and communication! It has certainly been hard at times but also better than we could have ever dreamed of. We are enjoying the mountains here in western North Carolina. We were blessed to find a little apartment in the town of Montreat, about 20 minutes outside of Asheville and about a 10 minute walk away from Billy Graham’s house! Haha crazy!
God started to stir our hearts this fall. We started praying to hear what He was saying! Adventures in Missions has a base down in Guatemala, led by a group of amazing people chasing after the Father’s heart. We feel the wind of God blowing that direction. We are at a place where we trust Him and are willing to simply open our sails and let Him lead. To be perfectly honest, we don’t know entirely what to expect! But we are going to follow Him wherever He leads! We will have a chance to pour into, disciple and encourage different missions teams coming through the base as well as staff members and of course locals. We will be serving how ever we can!
Beloved friends and family this is where you come in :) We need to raise roughly $7800 (broken-down below) for the both of us to stay down there for the three months God is calling us to (starting in January). Not only will you be sowing into our future but also the many lives we will be able to touch with the love of God while we are there. So please consider helping us!
